October 6, 2026

How can we help students feel more comfortable speaking, listening, and engaging with one another in the classroom?

This session explores how active listening activities can help build trust, strengthen classroom relationships, and support more meaningful student engagement. Participants will experience a structured listening activity and consider strategies for fostering connection, empathy, and attentive dialogue in their own courses.

A 30-minute micro-workshop for faculty.

This session is part of the micro-workshop series designed to help faculty create more engaging and productive classroom interactions. Each 30-minute session focuses on one pillar of the Respect-Relate-Cooperate framework and provides instructors with adaptable strategies they can immediately apply in courses of any size or discipline.
