This event is to collectively celebrate and share authentic narratives of Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC) experiences to counter the dominant narratives that perpetuate the stigmatization and oppression of BIPOC folx. The event features a panel of four speakers with various identities, all with a commitment to seeking and supporting equity for historically marginalized populations. They will share their personal stories, perspectives on the shared histories of intergenerational trauma within their respective communities, and strategies for sustaining interheritage solidarity, activism, and healing. Learn more about the speakers on the registration page.
Chris Won, Program Coordinator of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, will moderate. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions of and share insights with the panelists, and are encouraged to submit any questions ahead of time using the registration form.
The DEI office is extremely excited about this opportunity and hopes that you would be able to join us. Please share this openly and widely, as the event is open to the public. Please contact Disability Services at [email protected] for accommodations.
