Columbia School of Social Work Lucille N. Austin Lecture

Social work schools are facing a multitude of challenges in a rapidly changing environment, including changes with respect to social justice initiatives, curricular offerings, practicum placements, research funding, and educational support. Ultimately, these changes can impact our profession's vulnerable clients, the communities we serve, and the values-driven institutions we support. In this panel, five CSSW alumni who are current and former deans of leading schools of social work across the nation will engage with Dean Begg and one another to discuss how best to move forward and navigate these challenges, as well as how their schools will meet the needs of faculty and students.
