This lecture will begin with an overview of the public health burden related to youth and young adult mental health and mental health services. We'll then turn to a series of empirical studies aimed at developing, refining, and testing psychosocial engagement and treatment interventions for youth and young adults with serious mental health challenges. Finally, we'll situate the research findings within the context of future research, social work practice, and policy considerations.
About the Alice Lin Lecture
Dr. Nan Lin endowed the Lin Lecture in honor of his wife, Dr. Alice Lin, who passed away in 2015. Alice Lin was a social worker who received her doctorate in social policy and management at CSSW in 1985. The Lin Lecture focuses on research, issues, and public policy and administration trends.
