Venus Vacharakitja

Dr. Vacharakitja is a mental health advocate, passionate about equipping others with the knowledge, skills, and tools that will help them enjoy optimal physical and emotional health necessary, to minimize burnout, and increase their resilience.  Being from Thailand, and coming from a family of immigrants where health care was not consider a priority has inspired her to be more passionate about helping the immigrant community, increasing their access to care and improved health outcomes.  Dr. Vacharakitja has a doctorate degree in Psychology and has spent the last two decades working in the Social Services field servicing immigrants, LGBTQ+, HIV, and behavioral health populations.  She started as a behavioral health case manager and counselor in 2004.  Currently she holds a position as Senior Director at a community health center in New York City providing oversight to behavioral health services, case management services, and various government funded programs as well as program development to provide efficient and effective services to the underserved communities.
