Mary DiOrio
Mary DiOrio, LCSW, has been practicing social work since 2001. Her practice is founded on strong social work values and incorporates various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She has extensive experience working with eating disorders and is a member of the National Eating Disorder Alliance and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
Mary draws on experience from diverse clinical settings, including community mental health, acute medical hospital units/discharge planning and psych consultations, partial hospitalization level of care for eating disorders, and crisis settings, including a 24/7 crisis line.
As an educator, she is committed to helping her students increase self-awareness and prioritize self-care as clinicians. Mary also holds a BA in international business and supports students in the practical aspects of private practice, including insurance requirements, finances, and marketing strategies.
She is a longstanding volunteer at organizations servicing populations vulnerable to economic, social, and medical hardships, including children's hospitals, various YMCAs/YWCAs, food scarcity programs, and domestic violence shelters.
