Brooke Stott

Brooke Stott, LCSW is a doctoral student at the Columbia School of Social Work exploring how psychedelic-assisted therapy interventions may aid in the healing of toxic shame and self-perception. She is also a course instructor and former Program Manager of the school’s Psychedelic Therapy Training Program. In addition to her work at Columbia, she also works as a psychotherapist, with a focus on trauma, attachment, and shame, utilizing individual and group ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), EMDR, and psychodynamic therapy, and she was a co-investigator and lead therapist in the KINDRED group KAP pilot study. Brooke has comprehensive certificates in Trauma Therapy  from the Trauma Institute and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy & Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies, as well as specialized training in EMDR, MDMA-Assisted Therapy, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Psychedelic Integration.

Prior to coming to NY in 2022, Brooke was the Project Manager in opening Transhealth, an integrated healthcare center serving transgender & gender-expansive community members in MA, as well as a Psychotherapist and the Community Support & Engagement Department Manger. She also worked in Coordinator roles at the Fenway Institute for Plan & Act for Transgender Health (PATH Project), a community-based participatory research study on gender-affirming health care needs in rural New England, and TransECHO health care provider training and education.
