Impact of Our Research

Mental Health and Wellness

This past year many of CSSW’s faculty members engaged in research that aims to improve approaches to treating mental health and to promoting mental wellness. For example, Associate Professor Jinyu Liu worked on a novel intervention for dementia caregivers in New York City’s Chinese American community. And Dr. M. Katherine Shear, in response to the onset of COVID-19, collaborated with colleagues in China to provide guidance to grief counselors who are supporting those bereaved by the pandemic. Please read the articles below to learn more about these important research initiatives.
