Next Steps After Submitting Deposit
The following steps are only available to you after submitting your tuition deposit.
Get started with your university ID and email address.
Submit the form at least 30 days prior to registration.
Incoming Two-Year, 16-Month, Advanced Standing, and Transfer students are required to submit a practicum placement form. Complete the Generalist Year Placement Form. You will receive an email from the Office of Practicum Learning to your columbia.edu email address with instructions on how to submit the form. Please submit the form as soon as possible.

At orientation you will learn about student supporting offices, school policies, and participate in activities to prepare you for your graduate studies at Columbia School of Social Work. Please refer to the Academic Calendar to view orientation and other important dates.
Submit a photo for your student ID card.
Begin the process to secure your student visa.
