T6505 Intro to Statistics Information

Students who have not passed the statistics waiver exam or received a waiver upon completion of a previous course (more information below) must complete and pass T6505 Intro to Statistics, a O-credit, 5-week online course.

  • The course is offered in August for Advanced Standing students and during the Fall and Spring terms for Two-year, Extended, and Reduced Residency students. Dates TBA.
  • If you are not an Advanced Standing student and wish to take the T6505 Intro to Statistics course in August, please email swstudentservices@columbia.edu.
  • Effective fall 2020, students will not be charged the $450 fee for taking the statistics course.
  • If you are required to take T6505 Intro to Statistics, you MUST complete this course during your FIRST semester of matriculation at the School.

All students who do not elect to take the Statistics waiver exam or who do not successfully pass the waiver exam or have not taken a previous course that satisfies this requirement (more info here) will automatically be enrolled in T6505 Intro to Statistics during their first semester.
