Multicultural & Multilingual Caucus
The Multicultural & Multilingual caucus aims to increase awareness of multilingualism in the social work profession and hopes to provide a platform for a language exchange among CSSW students. The caucus intends to utilize the resources both at Columbia University and at CSSW to promote awareness and examine the cultural impact of English as a globalized language.
M&M wishes to explore our social responsibilities in promoting the global use of English as social workers, including how as professionals we are called upon to engage in a complex discourse about the ethical issues relating to linguistic human rights.
The caucus seeks to engage the CSSW community in a discussion integrating culture, language and social work with the globalized world we live in today.
