Michael MacKenzie Named 2014 William T. Grant Scholar
The William T. Grant Foundation has named Associate Professor Michael MacKenzie as a William T. Grant Scholar. He will be researching “Children in Limbo: A Transactional Model of Foster Care Placement Instability.”

Professor Emeritus David Fanshel, World Expert on Foster Care, Dies
Dr. David Fanshel, who was a professor at the Columbia University School of Social Work and received his doctorate from the School, passed away on December 15, 2012. CUSSW joins his family in celebrating his contributions, including and especially his award-winning work on the American foster care system.
