Adjunct Assistant Professor
Angela Ghesquiere is a research scientist at the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging at Hunter College. Through her research, she seeks to increase access and quality of care for older adults experiencing mental health disorders after bereavement. Previously, Dr. Ghesquiere was a fellow in geriatric mental health services research at Weill Cornell Medical College. She has served as a case manager, and has coordinated several federally-funded intervention studies on grief, loss, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She earned her BA in Psychology from Smith College, her MSW from Washington University, and her PhD in Social Work from the Columbia School of Social Work.
