Rebecca Zinger
Since the beginning of her social work career, Rebecca Zinger, LMSW has specialized in fostering intergenerational connections and matching volunteers in the community. During this time, she focused on volunteer management with diverse age groups, social work supervision, and program facilitation and evaluation. Rebecca served as the director of Jewish Student Life at CUNY Hunter, supporting Jewish students throughout their education, and since2018, has been a field advisor for social work graduate students at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. Rebecca joined the Columbia University School of Social Work in 2022.
As a field advisor, Rebecca engages students in their field practice and deepens students’ understanding of the impact of the environment on the individual at various stages of human development. Overall, Rebecca has dedicated her career to the mental health, well-being and education of the next generation of social workers. Rebecca’s interests include intergenerational transmission of growth, learning connection, and how it leads to fuller and healthier lives for all.
