Raji Edayathumangalam

Raji Edayathumangalam, MSc, PhD, LMSW currently works in two community organizations in New York City providing assessments, psychotherapy, and related services to individuals and families navigating a range of mental health issues, social stressors, and issues of identity, oppression, and social justice. Her social work practice experience also includes case management and individual and group work with older adults as well as holistic public defense social work with adolescents and adults involved in criminal and immigration courts. Dr. Edayathumangalam also has a professional background in biomedical research, scientific writing, teaching, supervision, and mentoring from her career as a life scientist.

Dr. Edayathumangalam earned her Social Work Master’s degree from CSSW with a concentration in advanced clinical practice and a law minor, and her Doctorate in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.
