Marybeth Jordan, LCSW, serves on the teaching faculty at the Ackerman Institute, and maintains a private practice in Manhattan and Connecticut specializing in work with couples and families. Throughout her career, she has focused on child welfare, working in family preservation and preventive programs to ensure the safety of children, and to allow them to stay with their families in their own homes. She has been affiliated with the Children’s Aid Society since 1999, working within the Preventive Services program and as a clinical consultant. In her consulting role, she is involved in program development, staff training, and clinical guidance for challenging cases. She helped develop the family-centered treatment model currently used by the staff. Ms. Jordan is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. She completed her postgraduate clinical externship at the Ackerman Institute.
