Mary Ragan

Mary Ragan serves as a clinician and supervisor at the Psychotherapy & Spirituality Institute, and specializes in traumatic grief. She has served an adjunct professor of pastoral counseling at Fordham University, General Theological Seminary, Hebrew Union College and New York Theological Seminary.  She served as a volunteer mental health counselor in Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and in New York City with first responders after 9/11.

Ms. Ragan is developing a theater project called IN OUR OWN VOICE: Women Veterans Tell Their Story.  These monologues, shaped from interviews with servicewomen, highlight the contributions women make and the challenges that they face. She teaches Spirituality in Social Work Practice at CSSW. Ms. Ragan holds an MA, M.Ed. from Columbia University (1977), an MSW from Yeshiva University (1989), and a PhD from Northcentral University (2000).
