Marina Kaneti
Marina Kaneti is a doctoral candidate in political science at the New School for Social Research. She teaches International Social Welfare at CSSW. She previously worked on social entrepreneurship and private sector development for the United Nations Development Programme in six countries, on two continents. She spearheaded local development initiatives including sourcing of local products and supply chain management; design of derivative schemes for micro finance and micro insurance; public-private sector partnerships; and corporate social responsibility outreach. Ms. Kaneti has also consulted for various NGOs and community organizations throughout the world, with a focus on funding strategies and self sustainability.
Ms. Kaneti previously worked as an equity trader on Wall Street. She holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Columbia College and an MS in Social Enterprise Administration from the Columbia School of Social Work.
