Maria Mursch, LMSW, is a Care Consultant and Director of Family Education for the Alzheimer’s Association, Hudson Valley Chapter. In this role, Ms. Mursch works as a consultant and provides educational programs to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in Westchester County. In her previous role as Manager of the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Early Stage Center at CaringKind in NYC, Ms. Mursch specialized in facilitating various groups and other programs for individuals diagnosed with early dementia. She is a certified chair yoga teacher, and provides yoga instruction for older adults who need modified yoga movements. She also serves as a social work field instructor, in which she uses a dementia and aging lens to educate social work students. Ms. Mursch earned her MSW from the University at Albany’s School of Social Welfare, where she participated in the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education and received a scholarship from The Schenectady Foundation.
