Lisa Haileselassie

Lisa Haileselassie, LCSW, is a clinical social worker and the Domestic Violence Coordinator with the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. At CVTC, she provides individual and group therapy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and for homicide survivors. She provides regular trainings for doctors, nurses, and support staff on the dynamics of domestic violence, and trains medical staff on protocols for assessing intimate partner violence in medical settings.

Before joining CVTC, Ms. Haileselassie served as the Program Coordinator for the Teen Dating Violence Program at the Kings Country District Attorney’s Office, and as a Child Protective Specialist at the Administration for Children’s Services. She sits on several domestic violence task forces throughout the city. Ms. Haileselassie holds an master’s degree from the Columbia School of Social Work (2004).
