LaTasha Smith
LaTasha Smith, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in a college counseling center in New York state, and maintains a private practice. She has worked throughout her career with survivors of trauma (childhood and adult), and provides individual and group therapy to children and adults in outpatient, inpatient, hospital, and private practice settings. She has experience treating mood disorders, addiction, self-injurious behavior, eating disorders, and trauma.
Ms. Smith brings a clinical, socio-cultural and anti-racist perspective to teaching. She has taught courses on interviewing skills, assessment, and field instruction, and has supervised students in clinical practicum. At CSSW, she teaches Clinical Case Evaluation in the online MSW program. Ms. Smith holds a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University, Chicago.
