Kimberly Andron
Kimberly Andron, LCSW-R, is the Founding Director of Behavioral Medicine at Phelps Family Medicine Residency Program. She was appointed Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at New York Medical College in 2009.
Prior to joining Phelps Family Medicine, Ms. Andron directed the behavioral medicine curriculum for two other residencies, managed a community-based prevention program for St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital (now Mt. Sinai), collaborated within the outpatient neuromuscular pediatric clinics of NYU’s Hospital for Joint Disease, and served within the Trauma Consortium of Westchester, where she treated children and families. She maintains a private practice in NYC through which she works with individuals, couples, and families navigating addiction, trauma, life cycle transitions, and/or adaptation to medical/mental illness.
In addition to her teaching at New York Medical College, Ms. Andron has taught young children with varied chronic and acute special needs, and served as a practicum instructor for students at Fordham, NYU, Hunter College, and the Columbia School of Social Work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in child development, an MSW from New York University, and an advanced postgraduate certificate in family therapy from the Ackerman Institute.
