Jennifer Hartmann

Jenny Hartmann, LMSW, is a doctoral candidate with the Social Intervention Group at the Columbia School of Social Work. Her areas of research and teaching expertise include child welfare systems, intimate partner violence, refugee studies, and the impacts of trauma. She has experience in social work project management, direct practice, and leadership in change efforts to improve social service systems. Ms. Hartmann applies her social work expertise in the U.S. and globally. She completed a research fellowship in Kenya, studied in France, and has collaborated with other social service professionals in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Albania, Jordan, Turkey, and Nicaragua. Ms. Hartmann graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA).
