Jamie Greenfield
Jamie Greenfield maintains a private practice focused on adults and couples in the LGBTQ and intersex communities. She uses affirmative treatment in response to these populations’ still vulnerable place in society, and a relational perspective in longterm psychodynamic psychotherapy.
In private and agency practice, Ms. Greenfield has counseled clients including individuals, couples, and families on living with HIV/AIDS; and transitioning from fundamentalist religious communities to secular communities. An adjunct lecturer at CSSW since 2011, she developed the curriculum for Advanced Clinical Practice with LGBTQ Individuals and Couples. Ms. Greenfield earned her BA from the State University at Stony Brook, her MSW from New York University, and a certificate in Individual Treatment from the post-master’s program in Advanced Clinical Social Work from the Hunter College School of Social Work.
