Ines Gonzalez, LCSW, serves at the Department of Education, and as an adjunct faculty member at NYU’s Silver Graduate School of Social Work and CUNY’s CSW School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Psychoanalyst with a degree from the Harlem Family Psychoanalytic Institute and experience in clinical practice, administration, and clinical supervision.
Ms. Gonzales maintains a private practice, and has trained agencies including Planned Parenthood and Good Shepherd Services Training Institute on strategies for working with Latinx families and youth. She was the founding Clinical Director and subsequently Director of the NY Regional Chapter of the North American Family Institute, in which roles she helped create a community-based system of care and wraparound services for Westchester County youth previously served in restrictive residential settings. Many of these youth lived with chronic mental illness and were involved in the juvenile justice system. Ms. Gonzalez helped found the Family Center at Neighbor’s Link, a community center for immigrant families in Mt. Kisco, NY. She holds a master’s degree from the NYU School of Social Work.
