Danielle Mixon

Danielle Mixon works as a therapist at a mental health clinic in Brooklyn providing psychotherapy to adults and children. Prior to this position, her clinical practice focused on work with children, families, and adult women in a variety of settings including home-based services, a public school, and a substance abuse clinic. Ms. Mixon is a graduate of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy’s 2-year Integrated Trauma Training Program and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Interventions. Ms. Mixon specializes in trauma therapy with an approach that combines psychodynamic, mindfulness, EMDR, and somatic techniques rooted in interpersonal neurobiology and attachment theories.
