About the Workshop

Lawrence Shulman
**This event has been cancelled.**
In this full-day workshop for supervisors, special guest presenter Lawrence Shulman, MSW, EdD (bio), will show how they can use the Interactional Model, which he developed, with students and staff in various settings and disciplines. The discussion will be organized around the four phases of work: preliminary, beginning, work itself, and ending/transitions. Dr. Shulman will describe and illustrate the essential supervisory skills of communication, teaching, relationship, and group leadership, while participants share their own challenges and experiences.
The workshop will also cover how a supervisor’s relationship with staff can model the ways staff relate to clients, and how to supervise evidenced-based practice approaches in a way that makes them more sustainable.
Participants attending both this workshop and the September 20 practitioner workshop can receive a discount.
