Office of Professional Excellence Workshop

As social workers progress in their careers, whether in private practice or at an agency, having the ability to work with budgets is crucial. Social workers who become nonprofit administrators, for instance, need to know all about grant funding and how it is administered. Led by CSSW alumna and adjunct professor Angelie Singla (bio), this workshop aims to provide an orientation to program budgeting, with reference to best practices. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to draft program budgets for their own organizations and receive feedback. Singla has worked in foundation relations for over a decade and currently serves as director of corporate, foundation and government relations for South Nassau Communities Hospital.
