SOCIAL WORK VOTES: Training in Phone Banking and Deep Canvassing

Learn how you can help fight voter suppression by informing and mobilizing voters to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard in the 2020 election.

Professor John Robertson (bio) leads a workshop in phone banking and deep canvassing—the art of holding authentic, in-depth conversations with voters, in which both canvasser and voter share their personal experiences and reflect aloud on their values. This technique has been shown to be one of the most effective methods of persuasion in a political campaign.

The training is geared toward social workers, but anyone who wants to learn this skill may attend.
