Social Work Practice with Refugees & Displaced Persons

Attend an information session on a special three-credit course being offered in Spring 2019: “Social Work Practice with Refugees and Displaced Persons.”

Course Description
The project-based course will cover the global and local response to refugee issues. It includes a trip to Jordan during Spring Break of 2019 and will be open to a limited number of students. Enrollment is based on an application: download Social Work Practice and Refugees Course and 2019 Spring Break Trip Application (Word doc, 1 page).

Eligibility
Applications are open to all, but priority will be given to second-year students. Language is not a prerequisite, and the course is open to students in all method areas.

Travel Costs
All travel costs will be covered by students. The costs are estimated to be between $1,900 and $2,100.
