In this week’s episode of Social Impact LIVE, host Richard Hara (bio) sits down with Dr. Aimee Campbell (bio) to discuss the challenges of carrying out a major state-wide study of the opioid crisis. Dr. Campbell, who has an MSW and a PhD from the School of Social Work, is serving as one of the principal investigators for the NIH-sponsored HEALing Communities Study in New York State, which has the goal of reducing opioid-related fatalities in 16 of the state’s most affected counties by 40 percent in less than four years. Campbell will share some of her ideas for an on-the-ground communications plan.
NOTE: For more information on Columbia’s HEALing Communities study, please watch the Social Impact LIVE episode with University Professor Nabila El-Bassel, which aired on October 23rd.
