Self-Care: Realigning Our Work & Values

November 3 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | ONLINE (VIA ZOOM) | REGISTRATION REQUIRED | 3 CE HOURS AVAILABLE FOR A FEE

Workshop Description:

Our values serve as a compass, pointing us towards our true North. When we are thriving, our work and ways of being tend to be in alignment with what we value. The opposite is experienced when the pressures and stressors of work build up leading to fatigue, burnout, and a misalignment with the way we desire to move in work and life. When this happens it is important to reconnect with what we value about our work and lean into practices of self-care and self-compassion.

In this reflective and interactive workshop on self-care, Brian Mundy, LCSW-R will guide you in assessing the current relationship between you, your work, and your values. Brian will discuss the dual nature of values and vulnerabilities in our work and the role that self-compassion plays as a form of self-care. You will receive support as you observe the impact of fatigue and burnout in your work. Brian will guide you through some self-care and values clarification practices while sharing the most recent research on such processes. Through this workshop you will be able to explore opportunities to address barriers to value-driven behavior and reconnect to your work with greater meaning and purpose.
