Office of Professional Excellence Workshop
Post-traumatic growth (PTG) represents positive psychological change occurring in someone who has suffered trauma. PTG has been studied and researched across different populations and cultures. In this workshop, led by CSSW alumna Victoria Grinman, LCSW-R (bio), you will gain an understanding of the brain-mind dyad, the role of mindfulness, the latest research pertaining to PTG, its markers, and insights into clinical interventions you can begin incorporating into your work now to promote clients’ journey to healing and growth. Grinman is the founder of Growing Kind Minds, a private practice that services children, adolescents, families and groups. It also provides a platform to share resources, information and tools with parents, professionals and the community.
The workshop will be held online in two half-day sessions:
- Part 1 – Thursday, October 15, 2020, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
- Part 2 – Thursday, October 22, 2020, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
