About the Workshop
In volatile times, the ability to manage finances effectively can make or break a nonprofit. But many who transition to executive roles can feel intimidated by the need to create a budget that works for their organization. Dr. Karun K. Singh, LCSW-R, Ph.D. alumnus and now a professor at the Rutgers University School of Social Work (bio), leads a full-day workshop that focuses on budgeting skills and touches on all aspects of financial management. Through lecture and interactive case studies, participants will gain an understanding of various kinds of budgeting systems, along with the how-tos of preparing an annual budget and required financial statements as well as methods of assessing a nonprofit’s financial condition.
