Motivational interviewing (MI) is an evidenced-based intervention that draws on strategies from client-centered counseling, cognitive therapy, and a strengths perspective while focusing on building an intrinsic motivation for change through exploring and resolving ambivalence. MI has been applied to a wide range of populations and behavioral change areas, from smoking cessation to elderly care. Its efficacy has been demonstrated in numerous clinical trials.

The workshop will be held online in two half-day sessions:

  • Part 1 – Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
  • Part 2 – Tuesday, August 25, 2020, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
