While initially developed to address problem drinking, over the past 25 years, Motivational Interviewing (MI) has been applied to a wide range of populations and behavioral change areas. This workshop will focus on the application of MI in working with older adults on such behavior change efforts as medication adherence, appointment follow-through, social involvement (or distancing), smoking cessation, healthy eating, alcohol use, and overall wellness.
