A convening of researchers and NGO leaders for sharing research findings that highlight the impact and potential of economic strengthening interventions on behalf of adolescents living in poverty, particularly with reference to adolescents living in sub-Saharan Africa, where over 15 million have lost one or more parents to AIDS. NOTE: Keynote speeches by Michael Sherraden of the George Warren Brown School of Social Work and Neil Boothby of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health (he formerly served as Government Special Advisor and Senior Coordinator to the USAID Administrator on Children in Adversity) will be livestreamed.
