Join the CSSW Disability Awareness Caucus, New York Times video journalist Kassie Bracken and New York Times columnist Dan Barry for a screening of Love and Independence in East Providence. This short documentary introduces Lori Sousa and Peter Maxmean, a Rhode Island couple about to get married. Lori knew Peter was her soul mate when they first met – now they are showing how people with intellectual disabilities can live, work and thrive in a community. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, CSSW faculty and self-advocates. Refreshments will be provided.
