About the Talk

In this talk, Dr. Rachel Murphy (bio) will examine transformations in China due to inter-related processes of industrialization, urbanization, demographic transition, and marketization.

Moderated by Dr. Yao Lu (bio), this discussion will draw from Murphy’s ongoing book project about children of rural-urban labor migrants in two rapidly-urbanizing interior provinces.
