About the Workshop

Debra Castaldo

Unlike other forms of therapy that analyze past problems, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) focuses on present solutions. SFBT operates from the assumption that we know our problems well and with proper guidance we can we can find the means to achieve and affect their solutions.

Led by Debra D. Castaldo, PhD , LCSW-R, MSSW (bio), this full-day workshop will introduce practitioners to SFBT and relevant solution-focused skills, including interviewing techniques, constructive coaching, and building and mapping solutions. Clients experience it as a hopeful, inspiring treatment due to the focus on strengths, resilience, hope, and solutions, rather than pathology.
