FOCUS: This webinar will use modern-day superhero narratives as a basis to discuss Strengths-Based, Art-Informed, and Mindfulness grief counseling approaches. The three panelists, whose work is published in the new book Superhero Grief: The Transformative Power of Loss (Routledge, 2021), will share teaching moments from the stories of superheroes such as the Flash that practitioners can use in counseling bereaved people. This webinar will introduce some novel strategies that can validate grief experiences, help promote adaptation to loss, and foster posttraumatic growth.
