Is DBT training for you? Attend an information session and find out.

The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Training Program at the Columbia University School of Social Work began in 2001 and was developed in collaboration with Marsha M. Linehan, the treatment developer, during her tenure at the Behavioral Research & Therapy Clinics at the University of Washington. This program is, to date, the first and only Intensive DBT training program in a School of Social Work.

The program is 12 months long, from May of the student’s first year through graduation a year later. It consists of s a rigorous academic curriculum paired with field-based DBT internship experiences that take place under intensively trained and certification-eligible supervisors. Current and past internship sites include Northwell Zucker Hillside Hospital, NYU Child Study Center, and Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates.
