About the Event
At this evening event, CSSW will take part in a nation-wide conversation about the current state of the Sino-American relationship and the issues that are having an impact on American businesses, educational institutions, communities, states, and the country itself. How will these issues factor into the 2020 election? Participants will watch the national webcast, after which Professor Qin Gao (bio) will facilitate a discussion with locally-based experts on and students of U.S.-China relations. The goal of these events, which are being held nationwide, is to increase civil engagement and understanding of this pressing issue of U.S. foreign policy in the lead-up to the general election of 2020.
For more information about the event, and to find out about learning objectives for CE credits, please go to the registration page.
About the Election Series
In the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, the School of Social Work is partnering with a number of organizations to offer a series of events calling on social workers to become more informed about the issues affecting the lives of ordinary people and to take the lead in empowering members of marginalized populations to vote.
