COVID 19 SPECIAL EDITION | SOCIAL IMPACT LIVE: The Psychological Fallout of the Coronavirus Pandemic
Event Organizer
- CSSW Communications
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | STREAMED LIVE ON FACEBOOK*
In this special edition of Social Impact LIVE, host Richard Hara (bio) sits down with former program host and long-time member of Columbia University’s School of Social Work community Michael Friedman (bio) to discuss the mental health implications of the coronavirus pandemic. Shortly after the pandemic broke out, Friedman published a piece (cross-published by CSSW HERE) outlining the mental health areas that will need to be addressed as part of the blueprint policy makers develop in mobilizing a response to the crisis. During this episode, Friedman will elaborate on this list and also discuss the role of social workers in tending to the psychological toll of self-isolation and other mental health challenges.
