The history of colorism in the Americas has dated as far back as slavery. This global manifestation was a key part in dominating the Black psyche. However, as we continue in the pursuit of our collective liberation, the Action for Black Lives initiative presents Columbia’s Black identifying community with a forum to discuss the realities of colorism and how it shows up in our lives. The event will include an hour-long panel discussion followed by a 30-minute breakout session. Event limited to 50 people; registration closes October 20. Participants are asked to take an implicit bias test (provided on the registration form).
