Dean Melissa Begg invites you to An Hour with the Dean, featuring Associate Professor Nkemka Anyiwo. In her talk, Dr. Anyiwo will examine communal and contextual factors that shape Black youth’s understanding of and resistance to anti-Black racism. Specifically, she draws on her experiences working with and researching Black youth to discuss the role of community and popular culture in Black youth’s racial consciousness.
