Children need both financial and emotional support to thrive. In this conversation, Dean Melissa Begg will speak with faculty member Dr. Ronald B. Mincy about the ways both resident and nonresident fathers provide the financial resources and enriching activities that support their children’s behavioral and cognitive development. Dr. Mincy is Maurice V. Russell Professor of Social Policy and Social Work Practice, a co-principal investigator of the Fragile Families and Child Well-Being Study, and director of the Center for Research on Fathers, Children, and Family Well-Being. He will share some of the research and insights that will be published in a forthcoming book, Money and More, co-authored with Prof. Natasha Cabrera of the University of Maryland.
