Meredith Slopen’s research interests: Work and family policy, paid family leave, paid sick leave, economic security, social determinants of health


Meredith Slopen is a Social Policy and Policy Analysis PhD student at the Columbia University School of Social Work. Her research interests include the relationship between women’s economic security and health, work and family policy, residential mobility, and leveraging large datasets to inform policy and practice. She previously worked as a Research Scientist at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene focusing on evaluation, maternal health, and health policy. Meredith holds an MSW from Columbia University and a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Toronto.
