Rise in Antisemitism

Dear CSSW Community,

Throughout the country, there has been a rise, and normalization, of antisemitism. Last week the FBI released an announcement of increased threats to New Jersey synagogues — the latest example of the surge in anti-Jewish bigotry in our nation and our world. And this occurred just days after the fourth anniversary of the shooting at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue. This is agonizing. Sickening. And yes, infuriating – as well as a reminder that must all do our part in condemning such atrocities.

And we must also create spaces to process and heal. In the next few days you will hear more about a panel discussion that our DEI Office will host in response to the increase in hate against our Jewish brothers and sisters. Now is the time for us to take action. Now is the time to show allyship. Now is the time to use our voice.

Enough is enough.
