Teresa Gardian teaches Health Policy and Advocacy in Social Work Practice at the Columbia School of Social Work (CSSW).
Since earning her MSW, Dr. Gardian has worked with children, adolescents and families in the field of Mental Health. Her most recent administrative position was as Director of the Department of Social Work at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Gardian has presented numerous professional papers nationally and internationally, and has been a consultant in Cultural Aspects in Mental Health.
She received a DSW from CUSSW in 1980, an MPH from Columbia School of Public Health in 1975, and a MSW from Nebraska University School of Social Work in 1959.
